It all started when...
Hi everyone my name is Mark McAlpine. I was born and raised a short distance away in Helena Montana. I have always had an affinity for music and after graduating from Montana State University I decided that it was time to stop spectating and become part of the show. DJs have a lot of control over what goes on at most events and I know how to make those events everything the client wants them to be.
My DJ career started locally at a couple of different downtown bars which turned out to be priceless practice for keeping a diverse crowd entertained. Soon there after I was asked to do a wedding for some close family friends where I got as much gratification and praise as I ever have. I reached out to Montana State University and was graciously given the DJ slot for Friday's Catapalooza 2016 where thousands of college students, many with their parents, walked by tapping their toes. Fall of 2016 I was invited to DJ the biggest banquet (many would call a party) of the year for REACH with smiles all around. I have also been known to show up at one of Bozeman's top music venues, The Faultline North, to play some House music.
Weddings, in my experience, are held in the most beautiful places on Earth with the happiest and largest gathering of friends and family that have come together in a long time. This pressure brings out the best DJ in me. I want to play Grandpa and Grandma's wedding song and watch that love and joy trickle down the crowd. I love the raw emotion and Im going to get tears of joy out of someone. Thats the power of music.
